December Favorites

Some items I've been absolutely loving this month.

The Mario Badescu drying lotion is something I always talk about. I'm always recommending this item to friends and family members because it's really that good. This item is one of the most important steps in my skin care routine and I even spoke about it in my skin care routine posts. I mentioned that last month my skin was acting weird and I was breaking out randomly. Now that my skin is back to normal of course I still get those random break outs during that time of the month. I've been using this on my more larger pimples and it always reassures me at how much I love this product. This tiny little bottle is a life saver it works wonders at getting rid of a pimple fast! I only use this at night when I have a pimple or even when I see a pimple is starting to form. If this doesn't make your pimple disappear over night, by morning you will definitely see a huge difference. I know that this product is a life long favorite I can't see myself ever being without it. Everyone needs to have this in the bathroom cabinets.

I've mentioned this before, I rarely wear makeup anymore. The only time I do is on the weekends, if I have a girl date with Imelda, or when I'm on a trip/vacation with Rudy. I'm definitely more than happy to go out without absolutely no makeup on. With that I've been so into skin care and I love allowing my skin to breathe. I always love pampering my skin with different face mask and I've been loving it especially this month. Two of my all time favorite face mask from Orgins and these are also the two I've been using the most. The Out of Trouble face mask is my favorite and I use it at least once a week. I love using this on Mondays since I usually wear makeup all weekend long. I feel this really helps clear out my skin of any breakouts that may be on its way. I also always use this around that time of the month and I swear it really helps clear up my skin. The next face mask is their charcoal mask, Clear Improvement Active Charcoal mask. I used to use it all the time but once I ran out of it I never repurchased it. Sephora recently sent out their $25 gift card for VIB Rouge that you can use with a $50 purchased and I used it to purchase this mask. I'm so happy I did because I forgot how much I loved it. I've been using this mask one to two times a week to really deep clean my skin. I've been absolutely loving the results I get with both these masks, I swear by them. Honestly I love anything from Origins.

I love polaroids I think they are such a fun way to capture wonderful memories especially since a physical photo is printed. In past blog posts I know I've mentioned how much I love my Instax mini camera and this month I found myself using it a lot more. I pulled it out earlier this month and even took it with me to my trip to Seattle. I didn't use it as much as I wanted to over there but I still managed to put it to good use at home. I've made it a tradition to take a photo of our Christmas tree every year and I can't wait to continue doing this. Here is a photo from the ones I have so far of 2013, 2015 and this year. I guess I skipped 2014 somehow, opps.
This next favorite I feel goes side to my Instax camera. I don't think I've ever mentioned it before but I own a Fujifilm Instax Share printer, this is a printer that prints out photos from your phone onto a polaroid! How neat is that?! I love this printer and find it beyond useful. Yes I love my instax camera, but if you own a polaroid camera then you know how tricky it can be taking photos with them at time. Your photos either come out too exposed or dark because there wasn't enough light. That's happened many times to me and ends up being a waste of film, and they aren't cheap. I love that I can take as many pictures I want with my phone, then if I want to print one all I have to do is connect it to the printer through wifi, hit print and it's as simple as that. You're guaranteed a perfect photo every time. This printer is a little pricey but well worth it. You're also able to use the same film in this printer that you use for the Instax camera.

Most of the month I have mainly been burning Christmas candles. Finally I decided to burn something new and pulled out Winter Rose candle from B&BW. I purchased this candle about a month or two ago but never burned it. I have so many candles that were half burned so I was making myself burn all those before burning a completely new candle. I lit this candle for the first time last week and I can't believe it took me so long to do so. I am in love with the way it smells because it's a very fresh floral sent. This candle isn't too much floral nor is it overwhelming and the notes are; rose petal, pink peppercorn, white cedar wood, and luxe sandalwood. I don't even consider this to be a Christmas or Holiday candle but more of a spring one. I really hope B&BW brings back this scent in the future since I only purchased one and would love to have more for the spring time.

Seriously I can't believe this is the last monthly favorites of the year. What were some of your favorites this month and from this year?

Rudy and I went to Seattle for the very first time last week and we had the best time ever. Rudy and I have been wanting to visit them since then and December was the perfect time to do so. We had so much fun and got to visit lots of really cool places. We also experienced weather of 20 degrees which wasn't the greatest but we were still enjoying ourselves. I loved visiting Seattle and seeing all the different things they have compared to San Jose. We went to Snoqualmie and saw their waterfall. It was breathtaking and the water was the prettiest turquoise shade. We walked around their town for a few hours, it was all decorated for Christmas. Then on Saturday we spent the day in Seattle. One of the main things I wanted to do while we were there was visit the first Starbucks store so that's what we did and it was really cool to see. In Seattle walked around the Pike Market, and visited the famous gum wall and Rudy even left his mark on. We then headed to the Pier and while we were having lunch it began to snow! Once our tummies were all full we headed to a couple of parks to enjoy the view of Seattle along with the snow, and it was a beautiful sight. The last stop for the day was visiting the Space Needle.

Apart from that my favorite moment while in Seattle was when it began snowing. It was my first time seeing it snow I was incredibly happy in that moment and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. That was definitely something I always wanted to see in person. Enough of me rambling here's some of photos from our trip. I'm going to forever enjoy looking back at this post remembering how much fun we had. I can't wait to go back to Seattle!

My Top Favorite B&BW Candles: Winter Edition

Happy first day of Winter! Today I am going to share my top favorite Bath & Body Work winter candles. If you haven't already don't forget to check out my previous posts where I shared my favorite summer candles and the most recent my favorite fall candles. I have a lot more candles to share for my winter edition. I try to limit myself to my top five favorite candles but I just couldn't do it this month. I love all the candles I'm sharing today and you too will see why if you have either smelled it in the past or if you smell it after reading this post. I have a lot of candles to talk about so let just quickly begin.

The first candle I want to talk about is the ideal winter or Christmassy candle, at least it is in my opinion. Tis The Season contains the classic cinnamon scent that warms up the entire room that it's burning in. It makes that room feel so warm and cozy with a perfect hint of freshness because of the red apples. I burn this candle every single year and I even finished burning one a few weeks ago.

Notes: red apples, sweet cinnamon bark, cedar wood.

The following candle contains more of a fresh scent which you know I love. If you love fresh scented candles and ones that smell of clean man Winter is definitely the candle for you. I love the feeling I get when I have these kinds of candles burning especially on a nice cold winter day. The freshness of the candle gives me a refreshing feeling that makes me want to wrap a cozy blanket around me.

Notes: pine needles, white woods, sparkling clementine, spiced cloves.

This next candle is an essential of mine, an all time favorite. Peppermint is one of Christmas' signature scent so it only made sense to include Twisted Peppermint in this post. When I was a kid, I'm sure like most kids, I was obsessed with candy canes. As I grew up I wasn't as fond of them as I once was but the scent was always a favorite of mine. I guess the scent kind of makes me nostalgic in a way because it brings back wonderful memories of Christmas while I was a kid. It's filled nothing short of happiness. This candle can became a little overwhelming if I leave it burning for hours on end. This candle is perfect to have burning while you're anxiously waiting for Christmas to arrive.

Notes: cool peppermint, sugar snow, vanilla buttercream, fresh balsam, hint of musk.

Another all time favorite candle of mine is Winter Candy Apple. I love candles which consist of red apple scent. When I smell this candle I feel a hint of sweet freshness. Winter Candy Apple and even Twisted Peppermint are some candles that I have repurchased countless times. I've even owned this scent in a body wash and hand sanitizers in the past and I just loved them. I don't think the scent is one you'll grow tired of its just perfect.

Notes: red apple, candied orange, maple leaf, cinnamon, winter rose petals.

I know I just mentioned two of my all time favorite scents and here is one last one. B&BW winter candles are some of my absolute favorite. Another candle I have purchased multiple times and even have a bunch stashed away is Marshmallow Fireside. This candle was one of the first candles of theirs that I fell in love with. Typically I don't gravitate to sweet candles but this one is just perfect. The marshmallow scent is heavenly and you can literally get a hint of the fire burning when you smell the candle. This is one of my favorite candles to burn on a cold afternoon because its one of those candles that gives me such a comforting feeling.

Notes: toasted marshmallows, smoldering woods, fire roasted vanilla, crystallized amber.
For the last candle that I'm sharing from B&BW is an essential for me to have burning more so once we're closer to Christmas. I love having a candle that smells of Christmas trees or something similar to a wreath. Holly Berry Balsam is one of the newest scents B&BW came out with this year. This candle smells of a few different scents but the most potent is the notes of Christmas tree. This is another candle that gives me such a comforting feel while I have it lit. At my house we have artificial trees so anything to fill up the house of that fir scent I am all for it. This specific candle isn't necessarily a must have of mine but its more of the scent that is. I will take any brand of candle that smells of Christmas tree and this year it so happens to be this one from B&BW which I'm loving.

Notes: winter cranberry, snow-kissed citrus, blue spruce, fir balsam.
For my last favorite winter candle is of course a Gingerbread scent. A gingerbread candle is an absolute must have of mine during the winter or more so during Christmas. Sadly B&BW's doesn't carry a gingerbread candle that I enjoy, they all have somewhat of a perfume scent that I don't like. It has to be a true gingerbread scent. The first gingerbread candle I ever owned was from Yankee Candle and I swear it was the most delicious scented candle I've ever smelled. I loved this candle so much. I burned it sparingly and it lasted me for years and I'm barely going to finish it this year. Unfortunately Yankee Candles no longer carry this specific candle however I came across this Gingerbread House candle from Target that smells almost if not identical to it. I'm not very picky when it comes to what brand of candles I purchase I don't only stick to B&BW. You should definitely check out the this candle from Target even price is really good for the size. Before I forget lets just take a moment to appreciate the adorable packaging, and yes the lid is peach. They also have a few more candles in this cute packaging all in different scents. I picked up Peppermint Kiss and it is amazing!

Notes: ground ginger, bakes cookies, molasses.

What are some of your favorite winter candles? Do we have any of the same candles in common?

Stocking Stuffer Ideas For She & Him

Stocking stuffers is one of the easiest gifts to buy. You can be really creative and it doesn't take knowing the person very well to do so. As a kid I loved saving the gifts in my stocking to open last and it was always filled with random surprises. It was so much fun! I made a little stocking stuffer gift guide filled with some great ideas for anyone who may be struggling on what to buy. I included gifts for both she and him. These are some things I know I would love finding in my stocking Christmas morning and same goes with Rudy.
I loved having a planner this past year. It really came in handy with keeping track of any appointments, birthdays, future blog posts along with when to post what. Since the year is close to an end a new planner is ideal for anyone who's a planner like I am. I just pick this one up from Target and my 2016 is from this brand as well which I enjoyed using.

Who doesn't love candles? A mini candle is not only cute but it will fit perfectly in a stocking. As you know I love Bath and Body Works, and they have a huge variety of scents one for everyone.

You can never go wrong with gifting someone perfume, I for one love collecting perfumes. This new Kate Spade perfume is just heavenly for the Kate Spade lover.

Polaroids are so  much fun! I absolutely love taking pictures with them and they're also such a great keepsake. You get to keep a physical photo filled with memories and I love that Instax has so many different themed films to choose from. This one specifically I was eyeing on eBay for a couple of months now and finally bought them for me. I can't wait to start using them for my future trip. Also, if you buy these films in a bulk (three and up) you usually get a discount per pack!

The holidays are the best time to buy and receive makeup. So many different companies come out with different sets to choose from and this is one of my favorite time to buy makeup. Colour Pop has a wide variety of cosmetics to choose from. The quality is great, products are affordable, and its all cruelty free!

When I was a kid socks was something I never wanted to receive as a gift but now as an adult I love them. Ruffled socks are one of my favorites even ones with cute little designs, those are always fun too.

This adorable unicorn ring holder is the perfect place to set your rings while you're doing some house chores. This is something I would even love to have in my stocking since I usually set my engagement ring on a shelf while I'm cleaning. This would probably be great to set your keys in too when you get home or loose change.

You will rarely find me with bare nails, I love having my nails painted. Nail polish is one of my favorite ways to accessorize especially during the holidays.

DVD's are a favorite of mine to find in my stocking. New Girl is such a funny show that anyone will enjoy watching. This is one of mine and Rudy's favorite shows and Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield are hilarious.
1. Liquid Education: Beer - Book
Nearly every man enjoys drinking beer and this book by Will Hawkes is perfect for the beer lover! There's even one about coffee that I ordered for myself!

2. Mini Candle
You'd be surprised at how many men actually like to have candles in their home. Bath and Body Works has such a wide range of scents including some musky ones that smell like mens colognes. Mahogany Teakwood and Black Tie are two of my favorite of mine. I also know Rudy really enjoys when I have candles burning at home.

3. Bates Motel
I can go on about this show I'm so obsessed. It's such an amazing show, this American horror will have you hooked from the first episode and it only gets better and better.

4. Watch
Guys themselves too like to accessorize. I know with Rudy watches is one of many ways he likes to accessorize. These wooden ones I found is cool and different. This is ideal for any men that collects watches and that loves wearing them.

5. Cozy Socks
Like I mentioned for girls who doesn't like cozy socks? They are perfect for everyone and you can find so many different designs to choose from, even for men as well!

6 & 7. The Art Of Shaving Cream & After Shave Balm
The Art of Shaving products are perfect for the man who's constantly shaving their faces. Last year I purchased these for Rudy and he loved it so much. He said it left his face feeling super soft once he was all finished and its even lasted him till this day.

8. Razors
To accompany the shaving cream, razors is exactly what you'll need to complete the perfect shaving kit gift.

9. The Art Of Shaving Beard Wash
Beards have become trendy more and more lately and this new beard wash from The Art of Shaving is a great stocking stuffer for the men who grooms their growing beard.
