Sunday was my very first official Mother's Day. Last year I was still pregnant with little miss Lucy and if I remember correctly I was around 14 weeks pregnant. We didn't do much to celebrate the day. This year we also kept it low key but Rudy being the best husband I could have ever asked for made sure to make it special. I was definitely spoiled with tons of flowers, cookies from my favorite places, and a lovely gift from my sister. I didn't ask for much for Mother's Day, all I actually asked for was a mini sleepover with Lucy in our bed. Lucy has never slept in our bed with us unless it was naps during the day. I still give Lucy one early morning feeding, and after that, we all cuddled together until it was time to start our day at 7am.
Mother's Day has a whole new meaning this year because of Lucy. Lucy is my miracle. She made me a mother. Lucy made my dream of becoming a mother finally come true. She will forever be the most special and precious thing I have ever had the honor of creating. Lucy will never understand the amount of love I have for her.
