I've mentioned countless times on my blog that I want to try and make taking anniversary photos a tradition with Rudy. This year is, we have Lucy so I decided instead of continuing with anniversary photos let's create a new tradition. Last fall we all did a family/newborn photoshoot with Lucy and let's continue this for as many years as we can and do yearly fall-ish family photos.
Last week, we had family photos taken. The weather in the Bay Area has been all over the place, some days being hot as heck and others much cooler but very windy. A couple of weeks ago we were originally planning to have these photos taken, unfortunately, Lucy had gotten sick for three days, and on top of that, the weather was way too hot to be outdoors. It all ended up working out since we pushed the shoot the weather was just lovely on this day. The park we were at was filled with shade and also had a nice breeze. I'm so pleased with how these photos turned out. I was just looking back at our very first family photos post I shared last year and gosh what a difference, Lucy is so grown now! I also realized how easy it was to have those photos taken since Lucy was sleeping 90% of the time and this time, oh boy she was nonstop! Our girl is so incredibly curious, she is so observant, and knows if or when she wants to smile.
I can't believe my sweet baby will be turning one in just over two weeks what the heck?! I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos with all of you. In the next week or two, we will be having Lucy's one-year photos taken and I am both excited and anxious, hoping they turn out great. I'm also expecting to share those with you all shortly after they're taken. Enjoy!
