My baby is ONE! It's all so bittersweet, I still can't believe she has been in our lives for over a year at this point. My pregnancy with Lucy was a dream and this past year with her has been the happiest of my life. I always catch myself looking back at photos of Lucy when she was first born and when she was a newborn. It makes me emotional when I think about it for too long so I usually try not to do that because I really do miss her being so tiny and squishy. The newborn stage was challenging especially for a first-time mom but it was also such a simple and enjoyable time too. I absolutely love that Lucy is growing because she has been so much fun the older she gets, hence the bittersweetness of it all. In today's post, I want to share all about Lucy's first birthday party!
Starting right away with her theme. We didn't really have a theme in mind but more of a "vibe". I am not sure if I ever mentioned this or if so where I mentioned this, while I was pregnant and planning my baby shower, a friend of mine suggested my theme should be a moon shower since Lucy's middle name was set to be Moon. I loved this idea so much however, I had my heart set on my original plans of a bee baby shower. I decided that for Lucy's first birthday it'd only seemed fitting that that would be her theme. When it was time to begin brainstorming for her party I quickly realized that it was actually pretty hard to come across a moon party theme so that was when I decided a vibe is more up my alley. When gathering supplies for her party such as the decor I went with pastels and I included touches of moons, stars, and clouds to give it more of a pastel whimsical dreamland vibe woo hoo.
I filmed an entire vlog for my Youtube channel on Lucy's birthday party prep. I'm not sure which will go up first, this post or the vlog, regardless I will make sure to include that link right here whenever it does go up since I share way more details on everything I picked up for the party in that video.
Alright, enough with my chattering here are photos from Lucy's first birthday party!
