-There are a couple of photos of Lucy and her little bestie friend, which is the daughter of one of my very best friends that I have known since I was a kid. It's been so sweet watching these girls grow especially now seeing them together at this age. Lucy is only about two and a half-ish months younger than her friend.
-A photo of the "themed" wrapping paper I chose for the year. I love choosing a color/style theme for my tree and presents. I went with a very pinky style again with pops of gold. I also decided to use yarn to create a bow for the gifts and I was obsessed with the look. When I was a kid my mom used to always wrap Santa's gifts for me and my sister in a completely different wrapping paper from all the rest of the gifts. This is something I loved and started doing with Lucy last year. I would like to try to have the gifts from Santa with Santa wrapping paper and so far these last two years I've managed to do this. I'm excited for the years ahead.
-I had to do a mini shoot of Lucy in front of the tree with the presents. Another thing I did with her last year was when she was a newborn, and this is something I always did with our dogs. Clearly, we have to do it with all three of them now. Let me just say that it was hard to get a good photo of all three of them this year haha.
-The week of Christmas we got tickets to take Lucy to a drive-by Christmas light show. This was something we really wanted to do with Lucy but weren't sure if we'd just do a walk-by in a neighborhood or an actual light show. I'm really glad we visited this one so close to our home. It was so lovely! Lucy really enjoyed herself and watched the entire show while sitting on her knees haha. It was really special seeing how amazed Lucy was throughout the whole show. We all couldn't help but dance to the fun Christmas music. I really hope this is something we get to do yearly.
-Next is just a couple of cute photos of Lucy in her Christmas eve outfit, before she spilled milk all over it.
-Just before Lucy went to bed on Christmas Eve I snapped a polaroid picture of her in her cute Santa pajamas. I also decided to make Lucy her own Christmas tree with her Nugget couch I even topped it with a star on top and everything. I think it turned out so cool! Once Lucy was in bed I put out all of the presents under the Christmas tree. We tried having them out through the month but Lucy decided to start opening one of them up so that was when I decided this year we'd just put everything out the night before Christmas.
-Alast we conclude the post with a family picture of the three of us on Christmas morning after we were all done opening presents. It was such a fun Christmas this year since Lucy was a little older and so much more aware of everything. We also managed to experience a "Christmas miracle" as I'd like to call it, Lucy finally started walking! She's taken a few steps many times before and even took a long stroll on her own but I guess she wasn't quite ready to take the leap on her own yet. Ever since she's been feeling more and more confident and gosh it's so mind-blowing all these milestones she continues to hit.
I hope your Holidays were just as lovely as mine was.
