accumulated a few beauty items and I thought it's the perfect time for a mini haul. As you all know I rarely share haul posts since I don't purchase a lot of beauty products at once. I'm thriving with a minimal collection but every once and a while a haul won't hurt. It's a fairly small haul but nonetheless, let's jump right in!

It had been a really long time since I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz pencil and I still had a little bit left from the last time I purchased it. I started using it in with the Glossier brow flick and I just loved the combination of the two. I would usually use a pomade but since switching to a brow pencil it has made doing my eyebrow routine so much faster. I have been a fan of this pencil for years. It has the best long-wearing consistency and I love how fine the tip is which makes perfect for getting that precision.

A few months ago I started switching out my old skincare products to new ones from a different brand. I'm not sure what was going on but my skin wasn't happy. As I was finishing up with my moisturizers I decided to just go back to my tried and true Drunk Elephant moisturizers, Protini and Lala Retro. I was on a Drunk Elephant only routine and my skin was flourishing with that routine. I've been very excited about using these two once again my skin is already doing so much better.

I've been using clean deodorants for a few years now. During a Target trip, I came across this Megababe deodorant and I was intrigued. Normally I purchase my deodorant from Sephora but it would be really great if I end up liking this one more than my Kopari one because it would make purchasing this a lot easier since I make two to three Target runs a week. Don't judge me haha. I haven't used it yet since I'm using up my Kopari one still. I'm also pretty excited about its rosy scent.

Hi, my name is Juliana and I have a red-orange lipstick addiction problem. I rarely purchase makeup and when I do it's usually to restock something I already use. I rarely treat myself to something new and I have had my eye on this Charlotte Tilbury hot lips lipstick in Tell Laura for months! After months of admiring it, I finally decided to splurge and purchase it for me as a little self-love Valentine's Day gift. Its such a beautiful shade and this lipstick is so creamy.

I owned the Lush Cosmetics Prince Charming shower gel about three years ago, and they finally brought it back with their Valentine's Day collection this year. I'm such a huge fan of their body washes and this is definitely a favorite. This is a lovely sweet, but not too sweet, fruity scent. I absolutely love how vibrant this gel is. A few ingredients to this shower gel is, sandalwood oil for moisturizing, geranium oil for toning, and fresh pomegranate juice to brighten the skin.

I've talked about the Glossier brow flick multiple times so there's no secret that this is essential in my eyebrow routine. I like to keep a couple of these stashed away so that I'm never without it and I recently opened up the last of my back up brow flick. I finally got around to order a couple more to have as back up. Seriously you guys, if you haven't tried this it's a must! I can't live without this. It makes it so easy to get that full feathery eyebrow brow look along with filling in any gaps throughout the eyebrow.

What are some beauty products you have recently hauled? Since my last current favorites post, I have accumulated quite a few new products that I have absolutely been loving. I rarely share favorites posts anymore so I really want to take every opportunity I get to share the little products that I can't stop using. I have a variety of products to share that ranges from skincare, beauty, and of course hair. If you're excited to hear about the new products I have been swooning over then continue reading!

I'd like to begin with skincare. If you recall my beauty + hair wishlist you may remember me talking about the Summer Fridays Overtime face mask. I finally purchased it shortly after the post and I have been loving it. In July I decided to pick up their Jet Lag mask which is their hydrating face mask. I enjoy hydrating mask when my skin is feeling a bit dehydrated, on post blemishes to prevent dry spots, and as a treat to my skin, I apply a thin layer for overnight. Jet Lag claims to be a one of a kind hydrating mask that delivers rich hydrating and radiant complexion with just one use. I have fallen in love with it immediately after the first application. My skin is more plump and soft. This mask is filled with skin-loving ingredients and gives my skin a refreshing feeling upon application. Jet Lag is by far the best hydrating mask I have used and it's become a weekly essential in my skincare routine.

Over the last two months, I have been wanting to slowly add new products into my skincare routine. For some reason, I never thought that I would be purchase anything from The Ordinary but the Buffet sounded very intriguing. My skin was feeling a little dryer than normal, which isn't normal for me, and I came across this on Sephora. Buffet is a multi-peptide serum with hyaluronic acid, amino acids, syn-ake, matrixyl synthe-6, and bio derivatives that targets multiple signs of aging. It is also great for those seeking a solution for fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, dullness in the skin and uneven texture. Since I have been on an all and only Drunk Elephant skincare routine I was a little concerned with introducing this into my routine. However, after the first use, those concerns immediately subsided since my skin felt amazing. My skin looked noticeably different and was also left feeling soft. It's amazing that The Ordinary's products are made with such great ingredients for a fraction of the price compared to other brands. I feel that the Buffet will fit right in into my permanent line of skincare products. I get good use out of it in both the morning and night time.

Jumping into makeup since I actually have a few items to talk about. First up is the Nars Velvet Matte lipstick pencil in red square. If you follow me on Instagram, and if you've noticed a certain red-orange lipstick I have been wearing literally non-stop since before summer its this guy! I'm such a fan of red-orange and this lipstick is one of the best on the market. With this lipstick being in a pencil form it makes the application so easy and smooth to apply. I didn't think I would be a fan of a pencil based lipstick since it does require sharpening but it hasn't been a big deal. The lipstick is so soft and actually feels like velvet on the lips. It isn't drying at all. I can already see myself going through this lipstick and repurchasing. It looks like a lot of the products in today's post are items that have already become holy grails. As I have owned them for a few months I've been able to use everything and by now I know whether I truly love it or not.

I've been wanting to purchase a cream bronzer for quite some time now and honestly, I don't know what took me so long. Finally, at the end of July, I purchased the Milk Makeup matte cream bronzer in baked. This bronzer is a dream. It is the perfect shade for my pale skin and it blends out so effortlessly. I guess I was a bit intimidated with cream products but more specifically cream bronzer with a fear it wouldn't blend well. I was wrong about this beaut! I haven't had any issues with it looking patchy and I apply and blend it out before I apply any powder to my skin. I do also use the Elf stipple brush to blend this bronzer out and it works wonders. This bronzer lasts all day on my skin without any fading as far as I can tell. I own so many powder bronzers that I absolutely love and I now gravitate towards this so much more. It's perfect to use for whenever I have dry patches since it doesn't enhance it. I definitely see myself eventually only using cream products.

Since we're talking about cream products, I finally own a cream blush and I can't get enough of it. I had my eye on the Glossier cloud paint in beam ever since I started falling in love with cream products. Cloud paint has been so easy to use, I typically use a pea-size amount, mix/warm it up on my ring fingers, then tap it all over my cheeks. It really does blend out so easy and the shade beam is such a pretty peachy shade. I've been wearing it most of the summer and I really enjoy the way it lays on my cheeks. I swear I feel like it looks better as the day progresses. I would love to try out some more cloud paints in different shades especially one that is more of a fall shade.

Ending this post with a hair product. If you haven't noticed I have been talking a lot more about hair on my blog. I recently have been obsessed with Kristin Ess, specifically her blow dryer and dry shampoo. A few months back I purchased the cleansing conditioner. This shampoo is a shampoo and conditioner in one hence the name cleansing conditioner. I've never been a fan of a shampoo and conditioner duo since I like to have control over the amount of conditioner I apply to my hair. I decided to give this a try anyway since I heard Kristin Ess talking a lot about it on Lauren Conrad's podcast. I'm obsessed with the way my hair looks, feels, and smells after using this shampoo. It's so silky soft it's amazing. I have had other great shampoos that have also left my hair feel this way but there's something about Kristins Ess's products that leaves my hair feeling clean and good! Rudy even uses this on occasion and loves it. It is a bit different compared to your typical shampoo because it doesn't foam up, so if that is something you're used to it'll take some getting used to this different texture. Nonetheless, it's a great product for such a good price point. I've been looking into more of her products for me to try out. I plan on converting completely to Kristin Ess hair products only and once I run out of this shampoo I will purchase her individual shampoo and conditioner.

Share with me some of your current holy grail, stand out beauty products!

{"$t":"Juliana
$t":"http://www.blogger.com/profile/09410637408830790715
$t":"noreply@blogger.com"},"gd$image":
//blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinw98N1LY4v8SvYbQE7_w8QZkoJjgkTZuMxaLciiTGhqEIOsYZtOXCNr7YQTC05lz_vPv4_jABDfn8oJ2giVQ_04s9i77G94gU9ZaprRtLepq-xmeSbo8krD2DNsPoZT0/s113/ACS_0224.JPG"}}],"media$thumbnail":{"xmlns$media":"http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/
https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WUUAak_LZcE/XZI7olzCe7I/AAAAAAAAJKQ/MsTQnchfLsgpCfEDMj4l2tqYMbf-h5N7wCNcBGAsYHQ/s72-c/ACS_0645.JPG
72
72"},"thr$total":{"$t":"1
$t":"tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-400672302414468518.post-2224340858288006939
$t":"2019-07-29T05:00:00.001-07:00
$t":"2021-10-06T10:06:51.483-07:00
"$t":"Summertime Must-Haves
html","$t":"

Ever since living out of California for a year, it's really made me appreciate the warm sunny weather. From the moment I moved back to California, I've embraced and made the best out of the ever so hot weather. It's truly the perfect time to throw a BBQ with family or friends, lounge at the pool, enjoy some frozen yogurt, and do lots of exploring! Since we're at the peak of summer, today I've gathered some of my summertime must-have items to share with you all. Although things may tend to differ from year to year, it always stays pretty similar. Enjoy!

There's no surprise that I'm starting off with SPF. Sunscreen is such an essential for me year-round especially in the summer with all of the high UV rays. Every morning a part of my morning skincare routine I incorporate some SPF to my morning serum cocktail mix. For my face SPF, I've been using the Drunk Elephant Umbra with SPF 30 for over a year now. I tend to switch off between this one and the DE Umbra Tint. They're both absolutely amazing the only difference is the Umbra Tint, of course, has a bit of a tint which is perfect for days that I'm not going to apply any makeup and need to head out the house to run errands.

Your body is no different than your face so I always try to make sure I never forget to protect it with a body SPF. A couple of months ago I purchased the Sun Bum Broad Spectrum SPF 50 and it's already one of my favorites. It smells like bananas, yup you heard that right, it sinks into my skin very nicely without leaving that tacky feeling most sunscreens leave behind. Plus, it doesn't leave behind a white cast on my skin. That is something I'm so picky about an SPF on my body because of my tattoos. A previous one I owned did that and my tattoos looked terribly. I need to use SPF in order to protect my skin and of course, prevent my tattoos from fading. However, I didn't want them to look like they had a cast over top, I want them to look as bright and vibrant as they possibly can.

An essential I can not live without during this season is sunglasses! Have you ever left your house and are out and about with the sun beaming on you only to realize you forgot your sunglasses at home? Ugh, I hate that feeling and have experienced it one too many times. I now try to make sure regardless of the purse I'm carrying to always bring a pair of sunnies or at least keep one in the car. It's no fun driving without sunglasses and the sun is constantly blinding you. My latest favorite has been my Ray-Ban Icons 53mm Retro Sunglasses. I've wanted these for so long and finally purchased them early this year. I'm always applying lip balm and making sure they're hydrated. With trying to keep cool with having the ac and all of the fans throughout the house on at all time it really dries out my lips even more. I have a couple of favorite lip balms but for very heavy-duty hydration I always reach for my Glossier Balm Dotcom in mango. This lip balm is incredible. It's on the thicker consistency side which makes it great for an overnight application. I always apply a generous layer of it on my lips before bed and I wake up with my lips hydrated and any dryness is long gone. The Balm Dotcom is great because you don't only have to use it as a lip balm, it's pretty universal and can also be used on your cuticles or any dry areas you might have. It's no secret that this year I discovered my new love for jumpsuits and been wearing them nonstop. It's such a one and done outfit all you really have to do is accessorize with some fun jewelry and a handbag. What I love most about jumpsuits is that they're flowy and even though most of them are long, they still manage to keep me feeling fresh. Another plus about jumpsuits is I don't have to worry about any possible chafing! I also really love summer because I get to bring out all my cute dresses. I'm very much a dress kind of girl and love every chance I get to wear one. I find them to be one of the easiest pieces to dress up for a special occasion and duh, I always feel really cute and girly while wearing one. I'm all about floral prints dresses, wrap dresses, plain black dresses, and over the last year, I've been really into sky blue colored dresses like this new one I recently picked up.

I love the idea of styling variety of hats with different outfits. There are so many beautiful hats to choose from, but I always felt so self-conscious wearing them. I finally tried to get over that this year by incorporating hats into some of my outfits every so often. Slowly weaning myself into this new accessory and I've seriously been loving it. I'm trying not to get ahead of myself but I want to purchase a whole bunch of hats in different colors and styles. Not only do I love how it makes an outfit look complete, but it also provides you with some shade which is perfect in the blazing summer sun. I'm so obsessed with them and they're relatively comfortable. These are some of the comfiest sandals I have ever own. I know they aren't for everyone but I love them and honestly want to own more in a variety of shades. The Eva I believe is one of their newest sandals, it's completely waterproof and so light on your feet from the material. They can also be pretty fashionable too depending on how you style them.

We can not forget about the cute summer purse! I fall in love with this highlighter more and more with each use. I can't express enough how stunning it looks of the skin due to the hydrating balm in the center of the stick. It makes my skin look so juicy and radiant. Also a little goes a long way. If you've been on the fence about trying a cream highlighter definitely give this one a try. I find it to be one of the best I've tried compared to a few others. If I had to choose five of my favorite Glossier products, this would without a doubt be included. Which reminds me, maybe I should do an updated top five Glossier picks?

Maybelline - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
Going way back to March 2016 when I shared the Fit Me matte + poreless foundation. In all honesty, I hardly remember much about this foundation. In my March favorites post where I featured this, I raved about how much I had been liking it because it kept my skin fairly matte without breaking me out like most drug store foundations tend to do. However, over time I realized it was indeed causing me to break out specifically below my jawline from where I would blend the foundation down my neck a bit. I remember passing it along to my sister and never even thought about it again. I think I will just stick to not using foundation and only spot concealing where I feel is needed.

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Liquid Lipstick in Spicy
I absolutely loved the ABH liquid lipstick in Spicy for quite some time. I got so much use out of it since May 2016 it became my go-to for a good year or so! A red-orange lip is for sure my favorite lipstick to wear and I really liked this specific shade in a liquid lip because it lasted on me all day long with close to no touchups needed. With time I'm not exactly sure as to why I slowly neglected it. I accumulated more red-orange lipsticks which made for a much faster application. Also, after time the liquid lipstick began to dry out so every time I would apply it, it left my lips pretty dry and unflattering. I actually still have this lippy in my collection but I think it's time I toss it out since it has been some time since I've actually used it. I would say I still do love this liquid lip but I have been enjoying an actual lipstick bullet a lot more recently. This shade Spicy is out of this world stunning if it wasn't in a liquid lipstick form I would even buy that. I'm not a fan of liquid lipsticks as I once was, they're a bit too drying and I find a bullet way more convenient. If you're into liquid lipsticks for sure check this shade out!

Lush Cosmetics - Snow Fairy Body Conditioner
It was December 2016 when I discovered Snow Fair body conditioner from Lush and I've been in love with it ever since. I have continued to repurchase this body conditioner every Holiday season since and I recently ran out of my last Snow Fairy tub. I love Lush's body conditioner because it hydrates the skin so well. I've said it many times on my blog that my skin gets very sensitive from shaving especially in the summer months and the body conditioner nourishes my skin and leaves it feeling silky smooth. Snow Fairy is one of my favorite scents from Lush because of its yummy candy smell. I own a favorite of their body conditioners in different scents and they're just the best. If you have dry skin you have to pop into your local Lush stores and try them out. I can't wait for the Holiday season to approach so that I can stock up on Snow Fairy once again.

Tarte - Shape Tape concealer
Who remembers when the Tarte shape tape was all anyone was talking about back in 2016? I finally bit the bullet and purchased it in Spring of 2017 and for a good few months, I was in love with it. I loved it so much that I even wanted to purchase it in another color to use as a foundation. I honestly feel that with age and getting older I just don't like using makeup like I once used to. I began feeling that this concealer was way too heavy especially for my under eyes. I started to really dislike it because it looked and felt so thick on my face that I completely disregarded it. This probably also had a lot to do with me beginning to really embrace my skin and enjoy a more natural look. I guess I just fell in love with how my skin looked when I wasn't wearing this guy versus when I was wearing. I always felt like I needed to go wash my face because it just felt like too much in my personal opinion. It was good while it lasted.

What are some products you used to love that you no longer use? Monthly favorites became a post that I completely ditched a couple of years ago but would love to bring it back every so often. I don't tend to try too many new products anymore, as I mentioned in a past post I've become quite the hermit when it comes to well a lot of my products. I think that every few months it would be nice if I were to share some products that might be new to me and that I'm currently loving. This way I won't feel so pressured on having to share products I'm enjoying monthly because it all honestly that rarely happens anymore since I love the majority of the things I use. Now I am here today to share with you the few products that I'm currently loving.

On days that the weather is brutally hot, I've been enjoying a more hydrating sheer lipstick. I have been reaching for my Yves Saint Laurent Heart & Arrow Collector Rouge Volupté Shine lipstick in number 12, a bright cajun coral. This is my only "high-end" lipstick that Rudy gifted to me for Valentine's Day. I'm really surprised that I have been gravitating to this kind of lipstick since I normally use a normal-matte lipstick formula. This formula reminds me a lot of a tinted chapstick and that is probably why I like it so much. I have found that once the glossy part of it fades away a light tint remains on my lips and I'm so obsessed with how that looks. It has really been the perfect lipstick on hot days where my lips are just asking for more hydration. The shade is also all me, a beautiful. bright red-orange tint.

About a month ago now, maybe a little bit over, I started using the Drunk Elephant A-Passion Retinol cream. I purchased a kit from Drunk Elephant a couple months ago and this was included. I had been wanting to incorporate a retinol cream into my skincare routine but I just couldn't ring myself to purchasing this due to its price point. I'm a huge fan of the brand as you know, and once they announced their newest kit and I noticed this was one of the products included I knew it was the perfect time to try it out and see if it would be something I'd love and would need to eventually repurchase. I'll just flat out say it, I love it. I had been having a few hormonal breakouts around my chin recently and since using this it's completely cured the issue. I use it every other day and it's been a miracle worker. I can tell you right now I'm definitely going to repurchase it once I run out.

In the past, I have talked briefly about deodorants. I have switched over to using only aluminum free deodorant since 2017. Since then I have switched from a couple of deodorants for one reason or another. I'm currently using the Kopari coconut oil deodorant for almost two months and I'm in love with it. I'm absolutely obsessed with its scent, it's absolutely fresh and clean. I don't think it really smells like coconut. Past deodorants were starting to irritate my underarms and I knew I had to switch to something new immediately and find something that is more hydrating. This guy does exactly that because of its coconut oil. It helps nourish, hydrate and even protects sensitive skin. I very briefly spoke about it on my bathroom shelfie post, and there I even mentioned that I already have a back up of this stored away.

Let's talk about hair. Would you believe me if I said I have found a new dry shampoo that has replaced my beloved No Drought dry shampoo from Lush? Well, I have! I had been wanting to try out a new dry shampoo and I had my eye on the Kristin Ess Style Reviving Dry Shampoo. To be honest, I've been wanting to try Kristin Ess products and since I had finished my No Drought it was perfect timing to pick up her dry shampoo. I've heard nothing but absolutely amazing things about Kristin Ess and her hair products and I just knew it was time to give them a try. The style reviving dry shampoo is everything I want in a dry shampoo. It absorbs all trace of oils, it leaves my hair looking and feeling clean which is something hardly any dry shampoo's offer. My hair smells fresh and clean and this dry shampoo is also vitamin enriched. One last thing that pretty much was the icing on the cake for me is that this lovely lady is an aerosol spray! Oh goodness, how I forgot how easy it is to use a dry shampoo in a spray form and it's so much easier to spray, tap, and go.

You might begin to see a bit of a Kristin Ess obsession since my next favorite is the Kristin Ess Iconic Style Professional Blow Dryer. If you read my latest beauty + hair wishlist then you would have recognized this from that post. I picked it up a few weeks ago and it has seriously been such a great investment. As I mentioned in that post, the last blow dryer I had was incredibly old and would take quite some time to get my hair fully dried. I am so amazed at how quickly this one gets the job done. I'm done blow drying my hair in five minutes! I can't even believe that which might sound silly to some, but this is a huge upgrade especially with summer making its debut. Not only does this dry my hair insanely fast but my hair feels so soft, smooth and it doesn't dry it out plus I have been loving the ionic option. It still isn't the cheapest hair dryer but it definitely beats the price of the Dyson hair dryer that I was looking into.

Lastly, I wasn't sure if I was going to include this fragrance or not. I purchased this Jo Malone London Silk Blossom Cologne back in April while I was in New York. I was wearing it once in a while but since the weather has warmed up it has been one of the top three colognes I have been wearing nonstop. Silk Blossom is a limited edition fragrance so I wouldn't sleep on this. It is in the floral fragrance family and contains the notes of white pepper, silk blossom, and moss. Now doesn't that all sound so lovely, definitely the kind of notes I'm a fan of. If you're into similar fragrances as I am I'm certain you will fall in love with this one. It has a very fresh powdery floral scent without it being too overly powder, it's perfectly balanced. If you're a fan of the Peony Blush & Suede you'll definitely want to get your hands on this fragrance. The pink packaging is so lovely, and now every time I wear it I can't help but think back to my trip to New York since I wore it out my last couple of days there.

Have you tried any of the products in today's post?
