I shared a review on my blog was two years ago! Where has the time gone? For today's post, I decided to do a little review on a new product release from Glossier, their newest brow product, the Brow Flick. I was very excited when I first saw sneak peeks about this product back in June (yikes, that was a while ago). The Brow Flick is a microfine brush tip detailing eyebrow pen that is available in three different shades; brown, blonde, and black. This pen allows you to fill your brows with featherlight strokes that look natural on the brow. I'm always looking for new ways to keep my brow game strong and I felt that this pen would be a great addition to my routine.

My current brow routine consisted of a pomade and brow gel, plain and simple. I appreciate the longevity of a pomade. My skin type is on the more oilier side and with having bangs that occasionally rub on my eyebrows I definitely needed something with a long-lasting power. Since I have very little eyebrow hair sometimes it's difficult to achieve the full fluffy looking brows let alone draw out those fine hair-like strokes towards the front of the eyebrows. It wouldn't even matter how thin of a makeup brush I'd use, sometimes it just wasn't happening. In the past I have heard of a few people talk about using an "eyebrow marker" and the brush always looks super intense and intimidating. Once I saw the Brow Flick I was very interested in testing it out and see how good of a product it truly was. I had been wanting to create more fluffy looking brows and with this guy having a super thin brush I was very hopeful it would help me achieve that.

I've been using Brow Flick since the end of June and I immediately fell in love with its fine brush tip. I was so impressed with how pigmented this pen is and how easy it's been to achieve a natural brow. I've used this product completely on its own and I've also used it paired with my pomade and filled in some gaps. I love the brow flick especially to create the hairs in the front of my eyebrows. It allows me to create the thinnest hair-like strokes. I can go on about how obsessed I am with this guy, I'm just so pleased that I can create a more natural full-looking brow especially since I lack eyebrow hair.

One thing you should know about the brow flick is that it's smudge-proof! This is perfect for those with oily skin since in the past I've had issues with my eyebrows fading through the day from the heat and my bangs rubbing against them. The first time I used the brow flick I didn't use a makeup remover wipe to remove my makeup before hopping into the shower like I normally would do. I thought I washed my makeup thoroughly but once I stepped out and looked in the mirror I realized that some of the product was still on my eyebrows! I always do a double cleanse whenever I wear makeup and the brow flick managed to hold on for dear life.

As I mentioned I became a huge fan after the first use. Shortly after I placed another order from Glossier and ordered a few more backups. It's truly that good! I'm sure the fluffy eyebrows isn't for everyone but I know everyone can find use from this especialy since it's so easy to use. The pen really allows you to control the strokes. You're able to achieve dark and lighter strokes and if you were a little heavy-handed on one of the lines all you have to do is dab your finger over top and it should help lighten up that harsh stroke.

What do you think of the new Glossier Brow Flick? The brand so has many amazing products and I've tried quite a few myself. Today I have for you my top five picks of Glossier items that I think everyone must try!
For anyone who is placing their very first Glossier order I always, always recommend them trying the infamous Balm Dotcom. Out of all the products, I have tried from them the balm dotcom is the one I use all day every day it's so good! I'm one of those people who is constantly using chapsticks and balm dotcom works wonders on dry lips. It does a phenomenal job of hydrating my lips and quickly. I absolutely love applying a generous amount at night before bed and when I wake up my lips are velvety smooth. This balm is so good that most mornings when I wake up I still have some product left on my lips! The balm dotcom comes in a variety of flavors so you can choose whichever suits your preference. I recommend picking up the Balm Dotcom Trio because you get to choose three different flavors and you also save some money. So far I have tried the rose, coconut and original and I have to say the coconut is my favorite.

This next product is another one I can't see myself living without and I'm talking about the Wowder powder. When Glossier released their very first powder I was beyond excited for this. I have already featured this loose powder in my August Favorites along with its own review post. Clearly, I'm in love. This powder is an absolute dream that everyone can use it from people with dry and oily skin. I myself have oily skin and this powder sets my makeup beautifully leaving a flawless finish. I never look cakey or like I have makeup on. It's so natural looking. Wowder is so light-weight and sets my makeup without making me look oily. Since this powder is so light and airy I know of many ladies with dry skin who also love this. I enjoyed wearing this during hot summer days and I'm really looking forward to continuing using it for winter. My skin has been going through a rough patch lately with the cold that I've been getting dry patches and I'm thankful that the Wowder doesn't accentuate them. Wowder is a must try for sure!

Now for a skincare product, the Super Pure serum is incredible. Just like probably all the products in this post, I raved about this serum in a recent monthly favorite. I love this so much. I have problematic skin and normally get blemishes often. The super pure serum has really done a great job at keeping most of my blemishes at bay. I try to do the most when it comes to preventing breakouts and I was searching for the perfect daytime serum. Super pure is perfect for my morning routine since it isn't thick or oily, it absorbs into the skin and dries down immediately. After applying this serum I go in with my moisturizer followed by my makeup of the day. My makeup sits very well over the serum and I don't worry about it slipping around through the day. Normally I use two drops and concentrate most of it on my more problematic areas of the face; chin and jawline. Whatever is left of my face I pat it into the rest of my face. Once I run out of this (which will be soon!) I know I will have to pick up another bottle. Glossier has a total of three serums and they all sound lovely, I definitely want to try them all in the future.

For some time I had been on the hunt for a new brow gel and finally decided to try out the Boy Brow and I'm so glad that I did. This brow gel is a dupe to one of my favorite that sadly isn't a cruelty-free brand. Boy Brow does a really good job at setting my brows in place and has been the best brow gel to actually keep them in place. It thickens my brows making them look fuller than they really are and the product doesn't flake off through the day. I'm left with the illusion of fuller brows and with the tiny brush I'm able to get every strand of hair. I use the shade brown and find that its a great match for my red hair.

I know this post is my top five picks from Glossier, however, I just needed to share these next two products. They're basically the same thing just a little different in consistency. I own both of their Priming Moisturizer and the Priming Moisturizer Rich. Let's begin with the basic priming moisturizer. This moisturizer is a light-weight but buildable moisturizer that is perfect for anyone with oily and dry skin. I have oily skin and found that this is a great cream to use in the morning before makeup since it is so lightweight. My makeup applies so beautifully to it and it doesn't make my skin oily through the day. I love how it preps my skin for my makeup. If one layer isn't quenching enough you can apply another layer and it applies beautifully over top. I always do that whenever I feel some areas of my skin are feeling a bit dehydrated.

Now for the moisturizer rich is basically the same as the priming moisturizer but a thicker formula. This is the ideal nighttime moisturizer or a daily moisturizer for those with dry skin. I picked this up recently since it's been very cold in Washington my skin has been getting dry which is so crazy for me to say. I needed a moisturizer that was thick and that was going to hydrate my skin. I'm so in love with this cream. As soon as I apply it to my skin it melts right in it is so hydrating. You don't need a lot of this product a little goes a long way. My skin looks so plump, glowy and dewy in the morning it's amazing. Whenever I have a blemish that is drying out I make sure to apply this at night especially if I know I'm going to wear makeup the following day. Doing this really helps prevent my makeup from accentuating it. I really wanted to make sure I included both these moisturizers so that I can help both people with dry and oily skin.

What are your top picks from Glossier that you think I must try? I have been completely head over heels for Glossier lately and once I found out that they were releasing a loose powder early August I nearly lost my sh*t. I was a bit on the fence whether I needed this or not, but like most girls can relate, I managed to make an excuse that I needed it, and asap! I was intending to share this post before August ended but as I already mentioned time slipped right through my hands with my move. I just had to talk about this powder that I shared some of my thoughts in my August favorites. Nonetheless, I decided I still wanted to go ahead and share a dedicated post to this powder because it deserves it. Also, I have been using it for about a month now and I know exactly how I feel about it and what methods work best for me. Now without further ado, let's move on in to my review.

The Wowder powder is Glossier's first ever powder release, and you guys, they did a great job with it! On their website, you can purchase the powder on its own or you can get the Wowder duo which includes the Wowder powder and the Wowder brush. You can choose from three adaptable shades, my shade is light/medium. If you didn't already know Glossier is all about the all-natural look, and this is a look I have been into since summer began. There is no surprise that they released a sheer weightless powder that won't leave your skin looking or feeling cakey. Their formula will set your makeup, cut shine, and will leave your skin matte but definitely not matte. This powder paired with the brush is meant to give you a soft finish.

I'm the kind of girl who loves to do the most in order to conceal any imperfections. I have learned a lot of different tricks and techniques that work best for myself personally. I knew that this powder wasn't going to be something that would cover-up blemishes but instead would set any foundation or concealer without adding any weight to my face. Having oily skin setting my make up with a powder is an essential step. If you're a person who gravitates to full coverage powders this may not be your best friend.

When I first received the Wowder in the mail it was mid day and a very hot day. I already had my makeup done for the day but I was still eager to give the powder a try. I was a little oily on my normal areas; my t-zone and cheeks so I figured why not use it to touch-up my makeup. My very first impression, I disliked it. I used the Wowder brush for the touch-up and it smeared the makeup I already had on. The brush left lines on my face from moving around my concealer underneath. This was such a bummer because the brush sounded very promising and feels extremely soft. I knew I would have to give it another go.

The last couple of months I have been completely skipping foundation. I only conceal a little bit underneath my eyes and any blemishes I may have. On days that I do choose to use some foundation I apply a very thin layer and then I conceal any spots on my face followed by powder. Now I have been solely using the Wowder powder and as you guys know, I love it. It really lays nicely over top liquids I've apply to my face. It sets everything beautifully without making me look dry or dull. It somehow gives my skin life, a natural beautiful radiance and leaves me matte. I can't stay the Wowder keeps my skin matte all day long since it doesn't claim to be long wearing. However, I have since tried using it for touch-ups throughout the day and it's been working wonders.

As for the brush, I can't seem to bring myself to being a fan of it. I mentioned that it is a really nice soft brush but I really dislike the way it applies the powder onto my face. It can most definitely be because I'm not used to setting my face with a brush that shape, but who knows. I do however enjoy it for other purposes such as bronzing my face and even applying blush. My brush of preference to apply any and all powder to my face is a flat-top kabuki brush. With using a flat top brush and the Wowder powder I have noticed that the powder applies more evenly and beautifully to my skin. I also find that it's the best way to really mattify my skin along with prolonging it. Over all, I'm still very pleased and satisfied with both products. I also know that the brush has worked well for others.

I also wanted to mention that I really love the packaging and really appreciate that it has a net like mesh to keep the product from pouring out everywhere.

I feel this powder will work for anyone who has oily even dry skin because it's a very lightweight powder. I'm constantly seeing people posting photos or just talking about the brand on a daily basis, I'm not even mad about it. That just made me want to give in a lot more, I mean just look at their packaging. It's so aesthetically pleasing, and the names of their products really pull you in. Since I had been using up a lot of my current skin care product and was going to be in the market for a few things I figured it was the best time to pick up some Glossier products that I had been wanting to try. In the past, I have raved about how much I love my Pixi double cleanse cleanser. It's the only cleanser I have ever used that removes my makeup like a breeze. So quick and easy. Someone told me this milky cleanser is pretty much the Pixi double cleanse combined into one. I will have to be the judge of that. This cleanser is supposed to be a tough cleanser in ridding impurities while still being safe to use around the eyes. I can't wait to begin using this.

Next in this set is the Priming Moisturizer. Initially, when I first heard of this product I wasn't interested in it. I automatically assumed it was one of those hydrating primers that are ideal for people with dry skin, boy was I wrong. What they mean by priming is that this moisturizer pretty much preps the skin for makeup. When I received this package it came with a small sample pack of this moisturizer and I used it immediately! I loved how lightweight it felt and my makeup applied nicely over top. It even laid very well over-top of it. This moisturizer will leave your skin looking plump with a dewy finish. It also contains anti-redness that soothes and evens your skin tone. I'm so excited to begin using this once I'm all out of my current moisturizer, which will be soon.

Lastly, the final product in the phase 1 set is their infamous Balm Dotcom. This was the product I was most excited to use especially since I was already on the market for a new lip balm. In this set, you are able to choose from six different flavors. Of course, I went with Rose. I love this guy so much that I already featured it in my July favorites. I love that this balm is more on the thicker consistency. It really hydrates my lips and because of its waxy feeling it really locks in the moisture. I make sure to apply this every night before bed and when I wake up in the morning I still have some left on my lips. Once I'm done cleansing my face my lips extremely soft and plump. The Balm Dotcom is a multi purpose product. You can use it on the lips, dry and chafed skin, elbows and even your cuticle. This stuff is incredible can you ask for anything more?

Since I'm head over heels for my Balm Dotcom in the rose flavor I really wanted to try out some more flavors. I had friends recommend me their favorite flavors so I decided to place another order to try out some more. This time around I ordered the Custom Balm Dotcom Trio. This set allows you to pick three of the cult favorite universal lip balms. I loved my rose balm so much that I purchased a second one to keep at home when I have one in my purse, but mainly for back up purposes haha. I can't stress enough how hard it was for me to choose which other two flavors to pick. I even kept asking Rudy for his thoughts and then I finally came to a conclusion.

My friend Kaye over at Oh Kaye Love blog told me the Coconut flavor hydrates the best so I made sure to pick that one up since I had been wanting to try it ever since she told me about it. I was a bit worried about its coconut scent since I am not a fan of it. Kaye told me that she also isn't the biggest fan of coconut but reassured me that the scent was very faint. First I want to talk about the packaging. I already love Glossier packaging but this one is peach! It is so cute I'm obsessed. Of course, as soon as I received this in the mail the first thing I did was open up the coconut lip balm to give it a sniff. Personally, I don't think it smells much of coconut. If anything the scent is extremely faint and kind of beachy. I think it also smells like a cookie haha. I actually really like the way it smells and I look forward to using it, I already have it inside my purse. I did find that the consistency of the lip balm is different compared to the others. This one isn't as waxy and it feels thinner. It is super hydrating as well!

The last flavor I picked for my custom Balm Dotcom trio was the Original. I really wanted to get either Birthday Cake or Mint but I really wanted a lip balm that was flavorless. Mainly for the days where I don't want to think about any flavor or scent lingering on my lips even though these lip balms are very light in their scent. Some days I just want a very basic balm and I figure Rudy would probably enjoy using this one a lot more than the rose one.

Of course, my wish list is never ending and still there are items from Glossier that I would love to try out in the future.
