I shared a review on my blog was two years ago! Where has the time gone? For today's post, I decided to do a little review on a new product release from Glossier, their newest brow product, the Brow Flick. I was very excited when I first saw sneak peeks about this product back in June (yikes, that was a while ago). The Brow Flick is a microfine brush tip detailing eyebrow pen that is available in three different shades; brown, blonde, and black. This pen allows you to fill your brows with featherlight strokes that look natural on the brow. I'm always looking for new ways to keep my brow game strong and I felt that this pen would be a great addition to my routine.

My current brow routine consisted of a pomade and brow gel, plain and simple. I appreciate the longevity of a pomade. My skin type is on the more oilier side and with having bangs that occasionally rub on my eyebrows I definitely needed something with a long-lasting power. Since I have very little eyebrow hair sometimes it's difficult to achieve the full fluffy looking brows let alone draw out those fine hair-like strokes towards the front of the eyebrows. It wouldn't even matter how thin of a makeup brush I'd use, sometimes it just wasn't happening. In the past I have heard of a few people talk about using an "eyebrow marker" and the brush always looks super intense and intimidating. Once I saw the Brow Flick I was very interested in testing it out and see how good of a product it truly was. I had been wanting to create more fluffy looking brows and with this guy having a super thin brush I was very hopeful it would help me achieve that.

I've been using Brow Flick since the end of June and I immediately fell in love with its fine brush tip. I was so impressed with how pigmented this pen is and how easy it's been to achieve a natural brow. I've used this product completely on its own and I've also used it paired with my pomade and filled in some gaps. I love the brow flick especially to create the hairs in the front of my eyebrows. It allows me to create the thinnest hair-like strokes. I can go on about how obsessed I am with this guy, I'm just so pleased that I can create a more natural full-looking brow especially since I lack eyebrow hair.

One thing you should know about the brow flick is that it's smudge-proof! This is perfect for those with oily skin since in the past I've had issues with my eyebrows fading through the day from the heat and my bangs rubbing against them. The first time I used the brow flick I didn't use a makeup remover wipe to remove my makeup before hopping into the shower like I normally would do. I thought I washed my makeup thoroughly but once I stepped out and looked in the mirror I realized that some of the product was still on my eyebrows! I always do a double cleanse whenever I wear makeup and the brow flick managed to hold on for dear life.

As I mentioned I became a huge fan after the first use. Shortly after I placed another order from Glossier and ordered a few more backups. It's truly that good! I'm sure the fluffy eyebrows isn't for everyone but I know everyone can find use from this especialy since it's so easy to use. The pen really allows you to control the strokes. You're able to achieve dark and lighter strokes and if you were a little heavy-handed on one of the lines all you have to do is dab your finger over top and it should help lighten up that harsh stroke.

What do you think of the new Glossier Brow Flick? It has such a beautiful glow, makes my skin look naturally radiant, gives your skin a bit of coverage, and looks absolutely beautiful underneath your foundation/concealer. I'd typically favor a pore filling primer and wouldn't really consider this to be a primer necessarily. It acts like a light-radiant BB or CC cream, but I do love using this underneath my concealer.

As I've mentioned in the past I haven't been wearing foundation for a few years at this point. Now if you know me then I'm sure you can already guess what concealer I'm talking about, the Wet N Wild Photo Focus concealer. This product has such great coverage while feeling super light on my face. It has a natural glow, a satin finish, and one of the reasons why I still love it so much is that it never gets too "cakey" on my skin. I am obsessed with the bronzer in this pallet and it's perfect for spring and summer. I always use the lighter powders to set underneath my eyes, I mix the two on the left side. I don't enjoy wearing a lot of makeup as I once did. I'm not sure if this has to do with age? The last few years my makeup routine has only become more and more minimal as the time went on. Lately, I have really been embracing a more minimal natural look and I couldn't be any more pleased with the outcome. I've also been very lucky that my skin has been treating me so well which really allows me to be very minimal with my makeup. Recently I picked up a few new products and I have been using them religiously. This was something I had been wanting to do for over a year and finally brought myself to get them done. As I mentioned many times, I have very little and short lashes, applying falsies is a must and I was growing very tired of them. It feels great to wake up in the morning and already having my lashes ready to go. My lashes were the second step in my routine that took me the longest to do. They're life-changing! All I really have to do is brush them out. I'm thinking of dedicating an entire post to my lash extensions, let me know if that would be something you'd be interested in or if you have any questions you'd want me to answer.

I have been obsessed with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter primer. I have heard so many wonderful things about it and I finally decided to purchase it since I was in need of a new primer. This primer seriously gives you the most beautiful radiant, flawless, Hollywood look! (wink wink) I'm usually not a person who pushes pricy products for people to buy, but this is seriously something I wouldn't sleep on because it's so worth it. Everything I apply overtop of it glides on seamlessly and the glow from it shines so naturally. Ugh, I can go on for days about this beaut! This is hands down the product that I feel most enhances a natural look because it truly looks like your skin is glowing underneath the makeup you have on.

Little by little I have realized I have been weaning myself from wearing foundation. I hate the feeling and look of it on my skin, and in all honesty, I don't feel like I need it anymore. As I mentioned above my skin has been relatively well for the most part so all I typically do is a stripe or two of the Wet N Wild concealer on each cheek followed by spot concealing any blemishes if needed. This has been my favorite concealer for some time now, it never lets me down. It has the perfect amount of coverage and never ever does it look heavy on my skin. It has a lovely natural coverage.

Skipping right into face powder I prefer using a light-weight powder on my face even though I am on the more oilier side. Some powders can enhance some dry patches I may have on my face. I also despise when powders are noticeable on my skin. You may already know some of my all-time favorite face powders like the Wet N Wild Photofocus powder and the Glossier Wowder powder. A new recent purchase and love of mine is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder. This powder reminds me a lot of the other two powders I just mentioned. It is very fine, silky smooth, light on the skin, but sets everything so beautifully. It gives my skin a radiant glow while giving my face a satin finish. It's an absolutely stunning powder, highly recommend it if you're looking to splurge. It's been one I can't put down.

I've never owned a face pallet that I love as much as I do with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4 pallet. I had my eye on this pallet along with the Unlocked one for a little while and finally picked this one up during the Sephora Rouge sale. This was most definitely a "treat-yo-self" purchase and I have absolutely no regrets. This pallet includes two face powders, two blushes, one highlighting powder and a bronzer. I've owned a few face pallets in the past but I never got much use of the entire thing. Though, with this pallet, I have been using every single powder! I'm already a big Hourglass lover and a huge fan of their ambient lighting powder. Their powders are super lightweight and natural looking on the skin. Hourglass is a cruelty-free luxury brand and recently they changed all their ingredients to also be vegan! It's been super easy to just grab this pallet and use it for setting my under eyes, applying my bronzer and blush, even highlighter if I chose to go for a powder highlighter. Plus it will be an excellent pallet to travel with since it's pretty much a one and done pallet.

Lastly, I have been a big fan of cream highlighters for a while now and I finally added the Hourglass Vanish Highlighting Stick to my collection. I have been using this guy nonstop since I got my hands on it. It glides on so nicely on the skin and it's so creamy, I can't stand cream products that applies blotchy on the skin only to move around any makeup that's underneath. Just like every other Hourglass product, this highlighter is so natural looking on the skin, have you noticed a theme yet, while giving you that glow from within.

I'd love to know if you've ever tried out any items from today's post? Since I'm going on a trip soon, I thought it would be a fun idea to show you guys what makeup products I usually take with me when traveling. In the past, whenever I had a vacation coming up I would always over pack everything. I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed in case I wanted to use it while on vacation. Most times I wouldn't touch the extra items I packed. After countless trips, I began packing fewer items and now only carry the bare essentials. I've even downgraded the size of the makeup bag I carry. Since the way I've been applying my makeup has been very minimal over the last year or so, this came very easy for me to limit what I pack. I did want to add that some of the products in this post are not cruelty-free. These products are still in my collection and I'm still using since I do enjoy them. I haven't repurchased any products that are not creulty-free. Now without further adu, let's start.

I like to pack my makeup in the order I would apply it that way I won't forget anything. I begin with my eyebrow products. The Benefit Ka-Brow! is my go-to when traveling since I find the packaging to be ideal for traveling. It's small and a brush already comes with it which means one less item I'd have to pack. I also bring my Anastasia Brow Wiz for the spoolie end and of course the Glossier Boy Brow.

Next, I pack my eye products like my eyelash curler, mascara (I love traveling with the travel sized ones since they're so small they don't take up any space.), liquid eyeliner in a pen form so that I don't have to pack an extra brush and false eyelashes in this cute case since I can add different options along with eyelash glue.

For my face products, I like to give myself a couple more options. My go-to primer duo is always the Too Faced primed & peachy matte primer and the Smashbox photo finish radiance primer. I love the combo of a mattifying primer with a radiance one because it will keep my skin matte but the radiance primer also gives my skin a glow. Something I've really been into lately. Since I haven't been using foundation lately, I will skip packing it. When I'm not using foundation I'm usually using this combo of the Wet n Wild photo focus concealer along with the Tarte shape tape concealer. These two have seriously been my go-to combo for over a year now. For spot concealing, I'm obsessed with the Nars soft matte concealer. It does a fantastic job and concealing any blemishes without looking heavy on the skin.

I can't go anywhere without is the Glossier Wowder face powder. I love this powder so much that I have to force myself to use some of the other powders I own. This powder sets my makeup so beautifully and it helps keep my makeup in place for a long time. I love the way my skin looks by the end of the day. To set my under eyes I'm bringing my Hourglass Ambient Lighting pallet. This pallet comes with three different products and I like to travel with this because there is a powder to set my under eyes, a highlighting powder, and a more bronzy powder. I like to carry a loose powder in case I want to 'bake' areas of my face. I use the Too Faced Peach Perfect loose powder since it does a really great job at mattifying the skin, sometimes too good of a job, but it's great if you're going to be in hot weather.

The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer is my favorite bronzer. I can't travel anywhere without this bronzer. I also take with me the Ciaté bamboo bronzer if I want to do any contouring, it's always nice to have that just in case plus the packaging is so small perfect for travel. I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned that I have been really into cream products specifically highlighters and I can't get enough of my Glossier Haloscope highlighter in Quartz! And lastly, I always carry two different colored blushes to mix and match with depending on my outfit. The Tarte blushes are my favorite to travel with because I own so many of their small sized ones from previous holiday sets. I always make sure to pack a more neutral nude blush and a peach one. For the peach blush, I'm taking my Hourglass Dim Infusion blush. Recently I have been obsessed with Hourglass all over again and I'm always reaching for their products when I'm getting ready.

Finally, to set my face I pack a setting spray that will prolong the wear of my makeup. One of my favorite setting sprays is the Milani Make It Last setting spray. It claims to have a 16-hour wear and it's always kept my makeup look beautiful all day long even in the hot California heat.

As for lipstick, I give myself three options. The shades I always travel with is a red, red-orange, and a nude. These MAC shades are my go-to and most times I'm wearing either one of these colors. Left to right; Lady Danger, Ruby Woo, and Only You; a limited edition shade.

I always bring my beauty blender with me along with a few different brushes. A flat top brush is the only brush I use for setting my face, I also carry the elf brush to set under my eyes, a fluffy bronzing brush, small brush to contour, blush brush, a brush for concealer and highlighter. Finally, a small angled brush to contour my nose.

Most of these products fit into my Glossier pink zip-up pouch. I love using these bags when I travel. Whatever doesn't fit goes straight into my makeup bag which is usually my powders, Hourglass pallet, setting spray and eyelash case.

I hope you enjoyed packing my makeup bag with me and for more content similar to this make sure to check out One Pampered Life blog post on how to organize your makeup bag. Back in middle school and high school, I was guilty of over-plucking the crap of my brows. I had no idea what I was doing and I would be left with a baby line of hair. Since I started messing with my eyebrows way too early in life they no longer grow. They remain very skinny and because of that, I've always been kind of self-conscious about them. (Don't get me wrong, I still rock them bare and natural all the time.) Clearly, I was never an expert when it came to eyebrows, and still, I don't consider myself to be one. However, I have learned a lot about drawing and filling them in within the last couple of years. After months and months of searching, I discovered what types of products worked and didn't work along with finding out my preferred tools to use. In this post, I am going to share all the products I use and must have in order to achieve my perfect brow!

Before using any brow products I like to first use a primer all over my eyebrow area. My favorite primer I like to use for this is the Too Faced Primed & Peachy matte primer. Since this is a mattifying primer it'll ensure that I won't get oily and since I have bangs and have oily skin I've had issues with my bangs rubbing the product off. This primer does a very good job it's one of my current favorite primers and not only for my eyebrows but for my face as well.

My number one product of preference to draw my eyebrows is a pomade. The longevity of a pomade is ideal for anyone who has oily skin. They last the longest compared to others since they're usually waterproof. I switch off from a couple of different pomades but one that I enjoy using is the LA Splash UD Brow. I was on the hunt for a cruelty-free waterproof pomade and my friend Liz recommended this one to me. I've also had issues with finding the perfect shade match to my hair because some are way too red toned while others are too ashy. I bought the shade cinnamon daisy and it is the perfect match. This product doesn't budge! When I first got it I swatched it on my hand to make the color was a match and then tried rubbing it off and nothing. When I was taking shower tried to rub it off with just water it still wouldn't come off not until I added soap and scrubbed it with my loofa. Whenever I use this pomade I know I can rely on it staying all day on my skin without smudging.

If possible I try to avoid cleaning up my eyebrows with concealer, I feel the messy look makes them look more natural especially since I have very little eyebrow hair. I use a little bit of any concealer to clean up mistakes I may have made or if I need to make the tail of my brow a little sharper. Sometimes I also use it to lighten up the front of my eyebrows to give it more of a faded look.

Once the previous steps are completed it's time to set my eyebrows with a tinted brow gel. I prefer tinted brow gels because I feel they give the appearance of a more fuller brow and I'll take all the help I can get in that department. I've been loving the Glossier boy brow. It's so good and does such an amazing job of coating every single hair with the product making them look fuller. This has been the best brow gel I've used.

This final step may sound a little strange. Once my eyebrow is completely finished I like to dab some translucent loose powder to the front of my eyebrow to set or in other words "bake" the pomade. There isn't anything worse than your brows fading throughout the day especially if your bangs rub on them. I like doing this step as a precaution. Just like you set your foundation and concealer so it doesn't move, I set my eyebrows with powder so they won't move. And guess what? It actually works! After a couple of minutes, I will brush it away with a brush and then lightly comb through the hairs to make sure I removed all of the powder.

I wanted to include one last brow product. On days that I'm going to run some errands and don't want to be bothered to do my brows with pomade or just don't have as much time to, I love the ABH brow wiz eyebrow pencil. This is one of my favorite brow pencils that I've used. This pencil is so simple to use because of how skinny and precise the pencil is, and it makes filling in the brows easy with little mistakes. The product isn't too waxy or slippery, it's a perfect consistency.

What are your must-have products for your eyebrows?

{"$t":"Juliana
$t":"http://www.blogger.com/profile/09410637408830790715
$t":"noreply@blogger.com"},"gd$image":
//blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinw98N1LY4v8SvYbQE7_w8QZkoJjgkTZuMxaLciiTGhqEIOsYZtOXCNr7YQTC05lz_vPv4_jABDfn8oJ2giVQ_04s9i77G94gU9ZaprRtLepq-xmeSbo8krD2DNsPoZT0/s113/ACS_0224.JPG"}}],"media$thumbnail":{"xmlns$media":"http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/
https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-t5oFmJd0NsQ/WUFpPNTtUZI/AAAAAAAAEjk/fNchwBMIzzwYZXsuZbo8jptwtSqz6xTeACLcBGAs/s72-c/IMG_4021.JPG
72
72"},"thr$total":{"$t":"4"}}]}});
