I'm really happy that I am finally sharing the home of the first original rainbow bagel, The Bagel Store that is located in Brooklyn, New York. This was for sure one of the places I was most excited about visiting\u0026nbsp;due to its colorful food. The Bagel Store is very well known for Scot Rossillo's old fashioned techniques and of course the rainbow bagel that broke the internet. This is a very small bagel shop with limited seating space. Rudy and I arrived at the store early morning and there wasn't much of a wait. I was a bit nervous about trying the Unicron cream cheese and if I would end up liking it. Surprisingly, it was very good and tasted like a mix of cream cheese and cake frosting. He absolutely loved it. I'm glad we were both very satisfied with our bagels it definitely left us wanting more.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nI follow The Bagel Store on Instagram and you are able to order bagels from them! All you have to do is sign up for their VIP waitlist and once you get through you can place an order of any of their bagels, minimum orders of a dozen. Rudy loved them so much he wanted us to place an order at least once and from the moment I placed my order it was delivered super quickly! I ordered four of their rainbow bagel, four cotton candy, and four Unicron. Milk Bar creates a variety of treats and is best known for its invention of the Compost Cookie, a naked layered cake (unfrosted sides), Cereal Milk soft serve, and Milk Bar pie. We were super lucky that there was a Milk Bar a few blocks away from our hotel. New York currently has nine Milk Bar locations with a brand new one coming soon, and we visited their Upper West Side location. This was a small location but it was perfect enough to grab some soft serve and enjoy. Most of the people I saw come in would purchase their desserts to go. With the shop being so small, it was pretty cute inside. For example, the Compost cookie is a sweet and salty combo which consists of chocolate chips, pretzels, potato chips, coffee, and butterscotch. Their Cornflake-Marshmallow chocolate chip cookie contains exactly that, cornflake cereal and mini marshmallows. They offer two flavors and Rudy and I\u0026nbsp;decided to each order one so we could try them both out. Immediately I knew I was going to order the Fruity Cereal Milk soft serve since it contains fruity pebbles, my favorite cereal! Rudy ordered their\u0026nbsp;original\u0026nbsp;Cereal Milk soft serve that has cornflakes sprinkles over top. They were absolutely delicious, but I did favor mine more because of the cereal. Rudy's was yummy but definitely fell more on the saltier side which we weren't big fans of.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\n\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nThe same thing goes for their cookies. I was very disappointed with how salty they were. I had high expectation for them since I heard nothing but great things. Today I am finally sharing and talking about my visit to the Color Factory during mine and Rudy's trip to New York. What is the Color Factory? Well, it's a collaborative interactive exhibit with the most amazing color pallet, and filled with lots of fun projects inside. The Color Factory had its first debut in the August 2017 in San Francisco in which lasted for eight sold-out months. You can definitely say it was a success! In August 2018 the Color Factory found its new home in New York City. The new pallet consisted of brand new installments teamed up with some of their favorites designers and artists. Up front, I would like to say that it was such a fun experience\u0026nbsp;to visit especially after wanting to have been able to check out the San Francisco installment. My expectations were really high for this pop-up especially with it being in New York. Not to say I was unhappy with it, but I definitely expected a lot more than what I experienced. I felt it was actually kind of small. Anywho, what I did enjoy immediately was how amazingly colorful everything was. One of my favorite photos is of these hanging colored papers. We had a few minutes to hang out, while people were enjoying the treats and socializing before being greeted\u0026nbsp;and escorted into the introduction room. The first room we entered was filled with chairs for us to sit while we watched a small clip explaining their rules and instructions during our visit. It was really quick and then we were off onto the next room where we were immediately instructed to sign ourselves up on an iPad to get a card that we can use with their photobooths throughout the exhibition. It is filled with buttons in tons of different colors and you get to choose one to take home with you. It was pretty trippy, we were all waiting in a line in this hallway to get into the next room that was an activity, which is why there was a long line. As we managed to get deeper down the hallway the colors of the buttons no longer looked the color we once thought they were. The shades had slightly differed. Can you guess which button I took home? You and a partner each enter into the room from different doors. You are then seated in front of each other with a glass window separating you. You're instructed to put on the headphones and a voice tells you what you will be doing. Long story short you are to draw the person sitting in front of you, draw your partner by using one single line, not lifting your pencil and without looking down. You're to use your eyes to guide the pencil in your hand, it was pretty fun and reminded me of a project I once did in middle school in art class. This wasn't one of my favorites. You are each given two pieces of candy that pairs with the colors you were assigned to in the previous room. These two pieces of candies are meant to complement each other's flavor. I'm picky when it comes to candy, I'm a chocolate lover all the way, and was very hesitant in giving these a try. I took a baby bite of the banana candy and it tasted of sour banana which was completely gross. The San Francisco ball pit consisted of yellow balls, so it was a lovely surprise to see that this one was different. It made me feel like I was in a pool because of its color. I also enjoyed how large this pit was Rudy and I stayed inside taking pictures for a while. Egg Shop is a cozy little shop that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a variety of egg dishes. Rudy and I visited Egg Shop on our second day in New York and oh boy did we fall in love. From their delicious plates, their stunning color scheme of black, mint, and white and the minimal aesthetic, this my kind of place. I seriously wish we had an Egg Shop location closer because I can definitely go for an egg and avocado toast right about now. I can guarantee you that by the end of this post you'll be wanting to an egg dish from this shop too! We arrived relatively early to ensure we beat any breakfast rush they may have, and we were in luck the rush hit once our food was being served. We were greeted and seated immediately. We both ordered their\u0026nbsp;freshly made orange juice and it was so incredible! This was hands down the best avocado and egg toast I have ever eaten! The Avo \u0026amp; Egg consisted\u0026nbsp;of; smashed avocados, tahini, beet cured jammy egg, crispy shallots, arugula sprouts, lemon, feta, za'atar, over top of a multi-grain toast. When it comes to breakfast I always get so full really quickly, however for this dish I made sure not to let a single bite go to waste. Rudy took a couple of mines and after his first bite his response was \"\u003Ci\u003Ewow!\u003C\/i\u003E\". So perfectly savory and filling. It fit in so perfectly with the style of the entire place. This was one of the first real museums I have ever gone to. It was amazing and it left me wanting to visit so many more. Rudy and I spent hours here, it was huge six stories but only five floors were open for viewing. MoMA is recognized to be one of the largest and most influential museums of modern art in the world and holds over 150,000 individual pieces. This museum is filled with such a large variety of style arts form modern, abstract and contemporary. Some of the popular artworks this museum holds are by artists Vincent van Gogh, Salvador Gali, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol.
