on sharing the makeup I'm taking to my trip to New York City but very last minute I decided to go on ahead and make a separate post for it. A lot of the products I travel with tend to change over time and at this point, I carry the least amount than ever before. (I expect this to be a quick and to the point kind of post!) In this post I wanted you guys, of course, to join me as I pack my makeup for my trip but to also show you all my essential makeup line-up.

Forwarning, a lot of the products in this post would have already been raved about in a past post at some point. When traveling I like to pack products I love and know I can trust to work, and products that will last on my face while I'm out and about discovering new places.

Starting off with a primer, I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter primer religiously since purchasing it. It has such a beautiful glow, makes my skin look naturally radiant, gives your skin a bit of coverage, and looks absolutely beautiful underneath your foundation/concealer. I'd typically favor a pore filling primer and wouldn't really consider this to be a primer necessarily. It acts like a light-radiant BB or CC cream, but I do love using this underneath my concealer.

As I've mentioned in the past I haven't been wearing foundation for a few years at this point. I've lost track of time, and I only use concealer. Now if you know me then I'm sure you can already guess what concealer I'm talking about, the Wet N Wild Photo Focus concealer. This product has such great coverage while feeling super light on my face. It has a natural glow, a satin finish, and one of the reasons why I still love it so much is that it never gets too "cakey" on my skin. It lasts through all sorts of weather thrown at my skin.

My absolute favorite concealer to use for spots is the Nars Soft Matte concealer. This guy has last me so long, I only ever need the tiniest amount and it covers my blemishes like magic. This concealer is a real life photoshop spot correcter! I've always had issues with thicker concealers building up on my blemishes and making it look dry. However, this one is always on my side.

I've opted to take a face pallet to make it easier on myself to carry fewer products. The Hourglass Ambient Lights Edit Volume 4 face pallet has basically everything I will need for face products all in one package. I am obsessed with the bronzer in this pallet and it's perfect for spring and summer. I always use the lighter powders to set underneath my eyes, I mix the two on the left side. If I choose to use a powder highlighter I have the option right there, along with two completely different blush shades. This has been the pallet I've been using the last couple of times I traveled and it's been super handy.

I'm still in love with the Glossier Wowder powder! This is normally my go-to face powder when I travel since it lasts so well through warm weather and keeps me relatively matte. It sets my face beautifully and it's never clung to any dry spots. It has been a wonderful face powder for myself, being an oily skin gal, and I've heard it's also a dry skins girl dream come true.

Even though the Hourglass face pallet includes two blush options I still wanted to take a new love of mine, the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in first love. I have another shade of this blush in my collection and I was completely obsessed with it. I couldn't put it down until I purchased this shade. CT has some stunning blushers and I admire the concept of them. The way you are meant to use these beauts are with using your blush brush, swish it around the outer color of the blush then pop the brush on the center color and apply to cheeks! It makes applying blush a lot more fun.

I know I'm a broken record over here, but I am in love with cream highlighters. My number one go-to is indeed the Glossier Haloscope highlighter. I own a few cream highlighters and this one by far is my most loved. The moisturizing balm in the center of the highlighter gives your skin the most glorious glow that I can't get enough of. I feel that it also helps melt the product a lot better into the skin. It's the most natural cream highlighter I've used and the shade Quartz is everything!

Getting close to the end, we can't forget eyebrow products! Eyebrows have become such a simple step in my routine the last month. I comb them up with a spoolie and use the Benefit Cosmetics Ka-Brow! cream-gel, and once they're done I set them with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. Actually, once you are reading this we would have already arrived in New York City! Ever since I was young I always knew I wanted to visit New York. It was a dream I never really thought would happen so I'm beyond ecstatic to finally be visiting. Pack with me videos are some of my favorite kinds to watch. In the past, I've shared a few packing related posts and they were so much fun for me to create. In this post, join me as I pack for New York featuring some of my essentials, what I'll carry in-flight with me, and just a looksy at what exactly I'll be taking along with me!

For this trip, I decided to treat myself to a brand new suitcase. I have had my eye on the Away luggage for a couple of years now. I really wanted one of their carry-ons with the rechargeable battery pack but if I was making a large purchase I wanted to invest in a size I knew I would get the best and most use out of. I also decided that for this trip to purchase packing cubes since I've heard they are great for keeping things neat and organized. I purchased a set for me and one for Rudy off of Amazon and it was super cheap. I'm hoping it'll help me to not overpack and leave excess space in case I end up buying stuff to take home.

Trying to plan outfits accordingly for each day that we'll be in New York, 3 full days and 2 half days. By doing this and not giving myself too many options I'm hoping it'll prevent me from packing things I won't end up needing. For the days we'll be flying I will be dressing relatively comfortable. I'm planning on wearing leggings, a loose comfy tee shirt, slip-on shoes so it can be easy to get through security, and a jacket to keep me warm in flight.

Clothing/Tops:
In my first packing cube, I'll be packing my tops. Lastly, I included a plain black jumpsuit because it's a nice piece and it's such an easy item to pack since it's a complete outfit itself.

Pants:
For pants, I decided not to use a packing cube since they're a lot thicker and would only end up taking up space too quickly. I'm taking my black leather jacket because it is one jacket I've been grabbing the most often. It's comfy, keeps me warm, goes with literally any outfit, plus if it rains I won't get wet while wearing this. I'm also taking a white cardigan that I recently bought. I can't get enough of it! It's cozy and oversized which I love, plus I can wear it if the weather is a bit warmer. Since I'm going on a trip soon, I thought it would be a fun idea to show you guys what makeup products I usually take with me when traveling. In the past, whenever I had a vacation coming up I would always over pack everything. I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed in case I wanted to use it while on vacation. Most times I wouldn't touch the extra items I packed. After countless trips, I began packing fewer items and now only carry the bare essentials. I've even downgraded the size of the makeup bag I carry. Since the way I've been applying my makeup has been very minimal over the last year or so, this came very easy for me to limit what I pack. I did want to add that some of the products in this post are not cruelty-free. These products are still in my collection and I'm still using since I do enjoy them. I haven't repurchased any products that are not creulty-free. Now without further adu, let's start.

I like to pack my makeup in the order I would apply it that way I won't forget anything. I begin with my eyebrow products. The Benefit Ka-Brow! is my go-to when traveling since I find the packaging to be ideal for traveling. It's small and a brush already comes with it which means one less item I'd have to pack. I also bring my Anastasia Brow Wiz for the spoolie end and of course the Glossier Boy Brow.

Next, I pack my eye products like my eyelash curler, mascara (I love traveling with the travel sized ones since they're so small they don't take up any space.), liquid eyeliner in a pen form so that I don't have to pack an extra brush and false eyelashes in this cute case since I can add different options along with eyelash glue.

For my face products, I like to give myself a couple more options. My go-to primer duo is always the Too Faced primed & peachy matte primer and the Smashbox photo finish radiance primer. I love the combo of a mattifying primer with a radiance one because it will keep my skin matte but the radiance primer also gives my skin a glow. Something I've really been into lately. Since I haven't been using foundation lately, I will skip packing it. When I'm not using foundation I'm usually using this combo of the Wet n Wild photo focus concealer along with the Tarte shape tape concealer. These two have seriously been my go-to combo for over a year now. For spot concealing, I'm obsessed with the Nars soft matte concealer. It does a fantastic job and concealing any blemishes without looking heavy on the skin.

I can't go anywhere without is the Glossier Wowder face powder. I love this powder so much that I have to force myself to use some of the other powders I own. This powder sets my makeup so beautifully and it helps keep my makeup in place for a long time. I love the way my skin looks by the end of the day. To set my under eyes I'm bringing my Hourglass Ambient Lighting pallet. This pallet comes with three different products and I like to travel with this because there is a powder to set my under eyes, a highlighting powder, and a more bronzy powder. I like to carry a loose powder in case I want to 'bake' areas of my face. I use the Too Faced Peach Perfect loose powder since it does a really great job at mattifying the skin, sometimes too good of a job, but it's great if you're going to be in hot weather.

The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer is my favorite bronzer. I can't travel anywhere without this bronzer. I also take with me the Ciaté bamboo bronzer if I want to do any contouring, it's always nice to have that just in case plus the packaging is so small perfect for travel. I'm pretty sure I've already mentioned that I have been really into cream products specifically highlighters and I can't get enough of my Glossier Haloscope highlighter in Quartz! And lastly, I always carry two different colored blushes to mix and match with depending on my outfit. The Tarte blushes are my favorite to travel with because I own so many of their small sized ones from previous holiday sets. I always make sure to pack a more neutral nude blush and a peach one. For the peach blush, I'm taking my Hourglass Dim Infusion blush. Recently I have been obsessed with Hourglass all over again and I'm always reaching for their products when I'm getting ready.

Finally, to set my face I pack a setting spray that will prolong the wear of my makeup. One of my favorite setting sprays is the Milani Make It Last setting spray. It claims to have a 16-hour wear and it's always kept my makeup look beautiful all day long even in the hot California heat.

As for lipstick, I give myself three options. This bag is fairly new to me and I'm happy to let you know it's cruelty-free! When I got this one of my intentions were to use it as a carry on for this trip and future trips. I've also been using it as my purse. Since it's not a huge bag it's perfect for day to day wear which is the main reason I purchased the mini size. However, don't let the name mini fool you, you can still pack a good amount of things inside of it as you will see. Let me know if you'd like to see an entire review on this bag since I also own it in a different shade.
