Since we're headed back to the happiest place on earth, today I wanted to share with you all a long-awaited Disneyland post, a Disneyland bucket list of some of the things Rudy and I want to do during our trip back this weekend. A lot of things in this list have somewhat turned into traditions of ours. There are also many more things we plan on doing during this trip that I didn't include on this bucket list, unfortunately. This trip back will definitely be very special since this will be our first time back to Disneyland and this time we're married! Expect to see a post in the near future filled with a bunch of photos from our trip. If you're interested in seeing what's on mine and Rudy's Disneyland bucket list, then just continue reading!
Take a picture in front of the castle! This one is definitely a favorite tradition of mine. During every single trip to Disneyland, Rudy and I always make sure to take a photo together in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. I love looking back at these specific photos and remember each and every one of the trips those photos were taken. It's also really neat to see how much we both have grown and changed through all the trips.
Get a photo in front of the Mickey pumpkin! Since it's Halloween time at Disneyland they bring out the infamous large Mickey shaped pumpkin located in the center of Main Street. This is another spot I love taking photos at especially since the large pumpkin reminds me so much of the pumpkin seen on the Disney channel movie, Halloweentown.
Eat Lobster Nachos! This is one of my favorite foods at Disney California Adventure "DCA" because it's a large dish that you can even share (or don't share) with a few people, it's filling, and it's so delicious. If you're not a fan of lobster they do have this nachos with the option of carne asada. I've never tried that out myself but I can only imagine it's just as good.
Enjoy character dining! During our last few trips, Rudy and I always tried to make sure we did some kind of character dining. Breakfast at The Plaza Inn is one of our favorite spots! Characters come to you one at a time and interact with you for a few minutes. During this time you can choose to snap a couple of photos. It's so much fun and on this trip, we're visiting the Storytellers Cafe for the first time!
Get a souvenir pin or ornament. Since mine and Rudy's first trip to Disneyland, I started a tradition where I made sure to purchase at least one ornament. This was a great way of growing my collection of Disney ornaments (This mainly consists of Alice ornaments). The last couple of years I began purchasing pins and that has been a lot of fun to collect. Or even a mug since I have a rather large mug collection.
Purchase a Minnie Caramel Apple! Another tradition of mine is to pick up a caramel apple to take home and enjoy. These caramel apples are unlike any other I have ever tried. These are so delicious and maybe because it's Minnie shaped might have a lot to do with it haha. I'm excited to pick up a Halloween apple since it's the season!
Go on the Dumbo ride! Believe it or not, with all the times I have gone to Disneyland, which is a lot, I have never been on the Dumbo The Flying Elephant ride. There isn't any specific reason as to why I've never been on it besides I didn't feel like waiting in line for it. It looks super cute I would love to finally experience the ride and maybe get a cute picture or two.
Get new silhouettes done! I have been wanting to get new silhouettes done of Rudy and myself for some time now. The one I have of us was from our first trip to Disneyland together back in 2013. Since then, we have both changed a lot and would love to finally get them updated and hang them in our bedroom.
Lastly, take a spin on the Mad Tea Party ride! Rudy and I really enjoy getting on this ride multiple times throughout the day. It's so much fun and I personally love capturing cute photos here just like this one!
Thank you so much for joining me in today's post. What are some of the things you must do during your visit to Disney Parks?
Looking forward to hearing about Storytellers Cafe, I'm a fan of the food but not a fan of the characters, well besides Chip and Dale. Whaaaat! You've never been on Dumbo! I'm so surprised! I love all of the changes they did to the ride, it's beautiful. I really wanted to get silhouettes done but we never squeezed it in. I can't wait to see your post.

Storytellers Cafe was nice but I like the Plaza Inn a lot more. The wait for Dumbo ride is always so long. It was the same thing this trip and probably even worst so we didn't get to ride it again :(
DeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteOh, I look forward to your next post on your day in Disney!!! I have always wanted to go this time of year. We normally go in June, but this year we are going in November - just in time for the Christmas party! I love all the photos you featured above - especially the one on the Mad Tea Party ride! Hope you had the best time. xx

Visiting Disneyland during Halloween time is one of my favorite times to go! I love all the decorations especially the colors. You must plan a trip around this time of next year! Christmas time is another wonderful time to be at the parks. Everything feels so magical. Thank you so much, that is one of my favorite photos of myself ;)
